If you live in Auckland and have a desire to be a jazz guitarist, or want to get some jazz into your other styles of playing, I offer jazz guitar lessons that will help you achieve your goals.

Perhaps you’ve tried teaching yourself jazz guitar from books, or information that you found online? Finding information is one thing, but being able to apply this information and integrate it into your playing is another matter entirely.

We work from repertoire, playing jazz standards and classic solos, so that rather than drowning in a sea of theory you can’t use, you’ll learn through immersion in the music itself. You will develop jazz guitar vocabulary and, along the way, learn a wealth of exciting improvising and comping concepts.

Recently moved to Auckland, I also offer regular special programs and events that get you to put what you are learning into practice!
